AUGUST 2000
FAMILY
DIE VARIETIES
Aug #1 - Misshapen Beading due to Die Deterioration, particularly around the 5:00 o’clock position of the Obverse. Reverse appears problem free. *Estimated value -$2.00*
Aug #2 - An interesting two coin progression pair.
Aug #2A - Reverse shows slightly misshapen lettering due to Die Deterioration.. In particular, the "N" in the word "CANADA". Misshapen Beading due to Die Deterioration, particularly around the 5:00 O’clock position of the Obverse. Similar to Aug #1, but a different Die Pair. *Estimated value -$2.00*
Aug #2B - Reverse Lettering and Date continues to thickened and misshapen, due to Die Deterioration Doubling. A new and problem free Obverse is evident. This is a nice example of the practice of changing just one Die.
*Estimated value -$2.00*
